Barbury is a fantastic event, its set in a beautiful location with lots going on. It was The Undertaker’s first CIC**, so I was just aiming for him to come away having learnt a lot and to feel more confident. He got a bit tense in his test, he found the bigger atmosphere a bit much, but he did some good work and scored a reasonable mark of 55 considering there were a few major mistakes. He then jumped a lovely show jumping round, I was just a bit annoyed at myself because I got him in too deep to the first part of the treble so he rolled one pole. He then absolutely flew round the cross country, making it feel very easy. He just added 4 time faults to his score, as the time at Barbury is very hard to get. Overall I was so pleased with how he went and I know there is so much that can easily be improved on. He will have one more Intermediate run at Wilton before heading to the CCI** at Hartpury.
